This traditional Japanese hotel is conveniently located near local restaurants and the train station, making it easy to explore. the rooms are clean and feature tatami mat sleeping and comfortable bedding. the staff is friendly and accommodating, offering welcome drinks and shuttle services. the Japanese breakfast is a must-try and the onsen areas provide a relaxing, authentic experience.
The futons and pillows in the traditional Japanese style rooms are quite hard, which may be uncomfortable for some guests.

Enjoyed a romantic escape at this beautiful Ryokan-style hotel. The traditional beds were a unique experience and surprisingly comfortable. Loved the views of the fish pond and the snow-capped mountains. Conveniently located close to restaurants and outdoor activities.
While the rooms were generally clean, the stains on some areas of the walls and bedding detracted from the overall experience. The hard futons and pillows made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the stay. Would have appreciated some softer options.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel - staff was welcoming, accommodating, and provided speedy responses. The facilities were well-maintained, and the view from the shower/bathtub was superb. Also, the hotel is situated in a prime location right at the street where I was staying, making transportation and dining easily accessible.
Nothing at all.

We enjoyed the stunning views of the snow, covered town from our room, and the traditional Japanese beds were a highlight of our romantic escape. the staff were warm and welcoming, offering us a complimentary welcome drink upon arrival. the private onsen was a much, needed spot of relaxation after a day of exploring the nearby ski slopes. We were pleased with the location of the hotel, which was just a short walk away from a variety of restaurants and shops in the town center. the free shuttle to the nearby ski area was a convenient bonus.
The room showed signs of wear and tear, such as stains on the walls and sliding screen. the lack of alternative pillow options made for a somewhat uncomfortable sleeping experience.
